Carcosa Press

Limited edition books focused on classic weird fiction.

Carcosa was formed in North Carolina in 1973 by David Drake, Karl Edward Wagner, and Jim Groce.

The press issued four large illustrated collections of pulp horror and weird fiction, including work by Manly Wade Wellman, Hugh B. Cave, and E. Hoffmann Price.

A planned fifth Hugh B. Cave volume, Death Stalks the Night, was abandoned after Lee Brown Coye's stroke and later appeared from Fedogan and Bremer.

The Carcosa Press database is currently under development and will be available soon.

We are working to compile a useful catalog of Carcosa Press publications, including editions, publication details, and collector-oriented notes where available.
