Nolan (b. 1928) is an American author, who is best known for writing stories in the science fiction, fantasy and horror genres. E is best known for co-authoring the novel Logan’s Run, with George Clayton Johnson. Nolan was born in Kansas City, Missouri. E attended the Kansas City Art Institute. He worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc. before becoming an author.

Originally published in 1967, Logan's Run is a classic science fiction novel that was immediately considered a classic The terminology of the book has since entered the mainstream, with terms such as runners and sandmen n the world of 2116, a person's maximum age is strictly legislated: twenty one years, to the day.
