Danel Olson (b. 1965) is a professor of Gothic fiction and film at Lone Star College in Houston. Creator of the World Fantasy Award and Shirley Jackson Award-winning fiction series Exotic Gothic (2007-2013), he also won a World Fantasy Award for editing the Patrick McGrath collection Writing Madness (Centipede, 2017). E earned his PhD at University of Stirling, Scotland.
